Thinking About What Matters… A Prayer

A Prayer For Today…

“Father in heaven, I know that in the sending of your Son you ‘said’ in very real terms what matters most in our world. You’ve taught me by example and revealed what matters in your Word.  A simple prayer for today, Father: strengthen my heart — really strengthen it — to hear from you what matters in my world today and live by what you share. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!”

A Quote…

It Matters
Whether or not I understand and live by
the true meaning of grace in my everyday world.

Speaking Of Journaling…

If I were to share just two things about living for what matters before the Lord who paid the price for my liberation, what would I share?

And About Taking Action…

Laying all false guilt aside and centering on the positive side of grace in my life at this moment, do any actions come to mind that would be meaningful for me to take… this day?

Reflecting On Scripture…

” he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins…” (Colossians 1:13-14)**

Following about a three year search for God, Lee trusted Christ as Savior in 1967 as young Marine. He has served as an outreach pastor and a church planter. The Lord also led him to serve as the Director of Internships at Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA where he served for over 20 years. Lee loves to write, has a strong desire to be a positive influence for Christ in our world, and is passionate about family. And speaking of family, he and his wife Sherry (who served as a Director of Elementary Education for many years and recently retired) praise the Lord for being married 44 years, their 3 daughters and son-laws, and 7 grandchildren! Lee and Sherry would say: "We've been abundantly blessed."
