Praying Late On A Good Friday

Praying Late On A Good Friday Evening…

“Lord, it’s late here.  The day has not quite “turned over” to the day after Good Friday, but I am here…

Reflecting,
With a thankful heart,
For all I have because Your Son paid it all.

Oh, Lord, I am convinced that I will never — as in never — be able to comprehend the awful fall your Son took for myself and billions of others.

I know I won’t: but I can lift up my heart in honor, praise, thanksgiving and deep humility because of the fact that Jesus took the fall that I might be raised to life eternal and live a new life throughout my days on earth.

I bow in my heart before You and say a simple — but not shallow — thanks once again the grace-filled gift of Your Son.

In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!”

Following about a three year search for God, Lee trusted Christ as Savior in 1967 as young Marine. He has served as an outreach pastor and a church planter. The Lord also led him to serve as the Director of Internships at Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA where he served for over 20 years. Lee loves to write, has a strong desire to be a positive influence for Christ in our world, and is passionate about family. And speaking of family, he and his wife Sherry (who served as a Director of Elementary Education for many years and recently retired) praise the Lord for being married 44 years, their 3 daughters and son-laws, and 7 grandchildren! Lee and Sherry would say: "We've been abundantly blessed."
